Year 1 - Black Country Living Museum Trip
We are pleased to inform you that our Year 1 children will be visiting Black Country Living Museum on Monday 27th April 2026. This will be a fantastic opportunity for pupils to deepen their understanding of our topic on Houses and Homes.
During the visit, the children will investigate a variety of houses and homes, discovering what life was like for the people who lived in the past. They will explore different buildings and household objects, comparing them to the things we use today.
Key Information:
- Date: Monday 27th April 2026
- Travel: MAT Minibuses
- Departure from Gossey Lane Academy: 9:00am
- Departure from the Museum: 2:30pm (normal pick-up time at 3:20pm from Gossey Lane Academy).
- Clothing: Full school uniform must be worn
Lunch Arrangements:
As your child receives Universal Infant Free School Meals, they will place an order as usual with their child’s Class Teacher.
Cost & Consent
A voluntary contribution of £8.40 is required to cover the cost of the trip. Please make payment via Arbor by Friday 13th March 2026. Your payment will also serve as consent for your child to attend. This payment deadline is in line with the venue’s cancellation policy. If there are insufficient contributions, the trip may be cancelled.
