Year 5 - Ancient Greece Workshop

We are excited to share that on Thursday 4th June, the children will be taking part in an Ancient Greece Workshop delivered by an external company, One Day Creative.

During this immersive experience, pupils will step back in time and explore the incredible civilisation of Ancient Greece. The workshop will introduce children to Greek beliefs, culture, and daily life, as well as the lasting legacy this influential empire has had on the world. From philosophers and doctors to writers and athletes, Ancient Greece was home to some of history’s greatest thinkers and storytellers - and thousands of years later, we are still captivated by their myths and legends.

To help cover the cost of this enriching experience, we kindly ask for a voluntary contribution of £5.82, payable via Arbor by Monday 20th April 2026. This deadline aligns with the provider’s cancellation policy, ensuring we can offer refunds if the workshop cannot go ahead due to insufficient contributions.

At Gossey Lane Academy, we are committed to providing high-quality learning experiences while being mindful of costs. To support this, we aim to:
• Fully fund trips where possible
• Partially subsidise experiences (subject to funding)
• Host in-school workshops to eliminate transport costs
• Use WHMAT minibuses or public transport to reduce travel expenses
