Year 3 & 4 - Ancient Egyptian Workshop

4 June School Hall

We are excited to share that on Thursday 4th June, the children will be taking part in an Ancient Egyptian Workshop delivered by an external company, One Day Creative.

During this immersive experience, pupils will step back in time and explore the fascinating world of Ancient Egypt. The workshop is inspired by the adventures of the famous English archaeologist Howard Carter, known for his discovery of the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Children will learn about Egyptian beliefs, mummification practices, and the mysteries surrounding King Tutankhamun — they may even help to solve an ancient curse!

To help cover the cost of this enriching experience, we kindly ask for a voluntary contribution of £5.82, payable via Arbor by Monday 20th April 2026. This deadline aligns with the provider’s cancellation policy, ensuring we can offer refunds if the workshop cannot go ahead due to insufficient contributions.

At Gossey Lane Academy, we are committed to providing high-quality learning experiences while being mindful of costs. To support this, we aim to:
• Fully fund trips where possible
• Partially subsidise experiences (subject to funding)
• Host in-school workshops to eliminate transport costs
• Use WHMAT minibuses or public transport to reduce travel expenses

We appreciate your continued support in making these possible. Your contributions help us create meaningful, curriculum-linked experiences that inspire and engage every child.
