Year 6 - Central Jamia Mosque Visit
We are delighted to let you know about a special opportunity planned for your child as they move into Year 6 next academic year.
As part of our Religious Education curriculum, pupils will have the exciting opportunity to visit the Central Jamia Mosque in Sparkhill. This visit will help children deepen their understanding of Islam, experience a place of worship first-hand, and build on their learning in a meaningful and memorable way.
The visit will take place on Thursday 15th October 2026.
· Children will leave school at approximately 9:15am and return by 12:30pm.
· Travel will be via WHMAT minibuses.
· There is no cost for this trip.
Children will have their lunch when they return to school as usual.
What should children wear?
Please ensure your child:
· Wears full school uniform.
· Has sensible footwear (which will be removed when entering the mosque).
· Brings a waterproof coat, suitable for the weather.
This is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to experience learning beyond the classroom, ask questions, and develop respect and understanding of different cultures and beliefs.
Please provide your consent for your child to take part via the Arbor Parent Portal by Tuesday 15th September 2026.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
