Year 3 - Stone Age Workshop

To enrich our history curriculum and bring learning to life, we are excited to welcome One Day Creative into school on Thursday 22nd October 2026 to deliver an immersive Stone Age workshop for our Year 3 pupils.

This engaging, in-school experience will transport children back over 900,000 years, exploring how early humans lived, adapted, and evolved through the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. Through drama, storytelling and hands-on activities, pupils will deepen their understanding of prehistoric life in Britain in a fun and memorable way.

To help cover the cost of this enriching experience, we kindly ask for a voluntary contribution of £8.84, payable via Arbor by Tuesday 22nd September 2026. This deadline aligns with the provider's cancellation policy and helps us confirm the workshop can go ahead. As with all school workshops and visits, if we do not receive enough contributions, we may unfortunately need to consider cancelling the workshop. We therefore greatly appreciate your support in helping us provide this valuable learning opportunity for our children.

At Gossey Lane Academy, we are committed to providing high-quality learning experiences while being mindful of costs. To support this, we aim to:

• Fully fund trips where possible

• Partially subsidise experiences (subject to funding)

• Host in-school workshops to eliminate transport costs

• Use WHMAT minibuses or public transport to reduce travel expenses
