Year 4 - Ancient Roman's Workshop

To enrich our history curriculum and bring learning to life, we are excited to welcome One Day Creative into school on Thursday 22nd October 2026 to deliver an immersive Ancient Roman’s Workshop for our Year 4 pupils.

This engaging, in-school experience will support Year 4's history topic, "Invasion” - Exploring the Ancient Romans, Vikings and other settlers who shaped Britain”. Pupils will journey back in time to discover the impact of the Roman invasion of Britain, explore daily life in Roman Britain and develop a greater understanding of how invasions have helped shape our country. Through drama, storytelling and interactive activities, learning will be brought to life in a fun and memorable way.

To help cover the cost of this enriching experience, we kindly ask for a voluntary contribution of £8.84, payable via Arbor by Tuesday 22nd September 2026. This deadline aligns with the provider's cancellation policy and helps us confirm the workshop can go ahead.

As with all school workshops and visits, if we do not receive enough contributions, we may unfortunately need to consider cancelling the workshop. We therefore greatly appreciate your support in helping us provide this valuable learning opportunity for our children.

• Fully fund trips where possible

• Partially subsidise experiences (subject to funding)

• Host in-school workshops to eliminate transport costs

• Use WHMAT minibuses or public transport to reduce travel expenses
