Year 1 - Black Country Living Museum Trip

We are pleased to inform you that our Year 1 children will be visiting Black Country Living Museum on Monday 28th September 2026. This will be a fantastic opportunity for pupils to deepen their understanding of our topic on Schools Then, Schools Now.

During the visit, the children will investigate and explore Toys Past and Present, discovering what toys children played with between 1880 and 1940. The children will compare what playtimes liked like in the past and now, identifying the similarities and differences. The children will even take part in a traditional Edwardian School lesson.

Key Information

• Date: Monday 28th September 2026

• Travel: Coach

• Departure from Gossey Lane Academy: 9:00am

• Departure from the Museum: 2:00pm (normal pick-up time at 3:20pm from Gossey Lane Academy).

• Clothing: Full school uniform must be worn

Lunch Arrangements

As your child receives Universal Infant Free School Meals, they will place an order as usual with their child’s Class Teacher.

Cost & Consent

A voluntary contribution of £23.77 is required to cover the cost of the trip. Please make payment via Arbor by Monday 13th September 2026. Your payment will also serve as consent for your child to attend. This payment deadline is in line with the venue’s cancellation policy. If there are insufficient contributions, the trip may be cancelled.
